Actors of Tomorrow, a local theater group featuring children and young adults, will present its fall production, Mr. Toad’s Mad Adventures, the next two weekends at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church.
Adapted from Kenneth Grahame’s popular children’s book “The Wind in the Willows,” Mr. Toad’s Mad Adventure tells the story of Toad of Toad Hall and how his love of motorcars lands him in trouble with the law. Play organizers describe Mr. Toad as “an eccentric but likeable chap given to ‘crazes,’” and who must later rely on his friends – Badger, Rat and Mole – to reclaim his home after it is taken over by his enemies, the Weasels, while he is in prison.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. the next two Fridays and Saturdays, November 1 and 2, and November 8 and 9, while 2:30 p.m. matinees will be offered the next two Sundays, November 3 and 10.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and children. They can be purchased at the door or on the Actors of Tomorrow website, www.actorsoftomorrow.org.
All performances are at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church, located at 4815 Route 49 in Harrisburg.
Founded four years ago, Actors of Tomorrow is a nonprofit committed to providing quality children’s theater in Cabarrus County. Its performances feature local actors, ages 8 to 18.
